Kudos to Pres. Elect Obama

We have hope! Barack Obama has selected Pastor Rick Warren to do the invocation at the inauguration. That is a tremendous honor for any pastor or religious leader to be selected. Evangelist Billy Graham has been the familiar pastor seen at the past few inaugurations, and now it seems there is a changing of the guard.

I believe that evangelicals, charismatics and pentecostals, can all appreciate the choice of Rev. Rick Warren, author of the Purpose Driven Life. And truly Sen. Barack Obama is the example of that book being fulfilled before our eyes.

Although, I and millions of other evangelicals did not vote for Sen. Obama due to his social policy and stands on "abortion" and "same-sex marriage," we did hold our breath that the "real" Barack Obama is a man of principles and beliefs that would not negate the principles of faith that this great nation was founded upon.

So far so good.

Choosing Rick Warren over the hundreds of good and decent pastors of other denominations shows that he is daring and he is a friend who remembers. Without that very important interview at Saddleback Church, which the church at larged watched carefully, Senator Obama may not have gotten such a large swing religious conservative vote. The key thing that stuck in the mind of those who watched that debate was when Senator Obama said, "I walked down the aisle of Trinity Church and received Jesus Christ..."

That's all they needed to hear. He was one of them.

So good for you President elect Obama. You are making those of us who had a little anxiety proud of you!

Aloha!

Same Ol' Same Ol'

After a heart wrenching final week of elections and the heart touching scene in Chicago as thousands gathered to congratulate the President-elect, our nations first truly "Afro-American Candidate, " Barack Obama. A little more than one month later after the final vote is cast, we see the debrie coming to the surface as graft and corruption indictments are being handed out to the states highest officials.

They use to say, where there's smoke there's fire. But today's media apparently can't tell and cannot discern graft from corruption anymore. They are so eager to prove they were right in supporting the democrat party's candidate at any cost, they are willing to lay down their integrity and common sense to do so.

Personally, I believe that Barack Obama is a decent person as Senator John McCain has stated, but his friends are one by one landing in prison for graft and corruption.

When a party left or right, allows itself to cover, defend and make excuses for actions that are downright illegal and immoral, rather than the dumbing down of America, it is the destruction of America. Without integrity, moral values and virtues, a society cannot prosper and exists.
It's citizens will adopt the attitude of "me" first rather than "for the good of all."

Today we see our sorry excuse for a congress, doling out billions of dollars to wallstreet companies who mismanaged and mishandled their affairs while their mutual fund managers and stock brokers walked away with millions and billions of commissions and fees.

The congress could give everyone in America $1,000,000 to pay off their debts and provide a life time of health insurance instead, they are giving $1,000,000,000 (trillion) --because that is what this bailout is amounting to -- to companies so that they can balance their books before the end of the year.

We need to pray. The change the people voted for is the same ol' same ol." We exchanged one
do nothing party for another. And sorry to say that our leaders have let down the standard of integrity, righteousness and honor to satisfy and placate the financial rulers of our economy.

They have allowed America to be sold to the highest bidder!

It looks like the Book of Revelations is commencing!
