I like you watched the euphoria the night of the election 2008 as Sen. Barack Obama became the next President of the United States. He said with all sincerity that he was going to bring change to the policies that had hurt the American people on mainstreet. We all applauded. We had Robin Hood who was now in leadership who would take from the rich and give to the poor.
After 11 months in office, and of course this really isn't enough time to accomplish real change... having been spared a national tragedy like 9-11 in the 9th month of President George Bush's term in office, what has been accomplished?
His advisors have pushed through "cash for clunkers." This created a wonderful opportunity for people who were driving old beat up cars to trade in their old cars for a huge down payment to buy a car that is overpriced and that they really can't afford. And now after they purchased their new car, here in the State of California, they receive their first renewal of the license plates and they are devastated that the license cost as much or more than a payment.
Next the advisors bailed out banks so that they would not foreclose on the poor people on mainstreet. And now 60 million homes are facing foreclosure and not only have they not assisted the people on mainstreet they are literally throwing them out of their homes many without due process or notice.
So what has the ONE done? He has made the rich richer and the poor poorer. It may not be his fault because he is not an MBA graduate. He doesn't have a business background so he is depending on the advise of his advisors who are the "slick willies" of the investment world.
The rhetoric is wonderful. We are going to tax the rich those who make over $200K a year. Except doesn't he know that the rich are rich because they know how NOT to pay taxes. And already the rich have their bookkeepers and accountants doing everything in their power
to make their tax burden as minimal as possible.
Who are we kidding?
So at the end of this fiscal year, our Treasury department will realize that their revenue is down. These policies have hurt small businesses. As we drive along the business highways of our cities all we see is "for rent" signs. The mom and pop businesses have been closed.
We see with the new health care idea that small businesses are already downsizing to accommodate the huge raise in costs of their mandatory "governmental" health care mandate.
We already see big businesses taking their factories to countries that pay minimum wage. And so what is left?
The middle class has been reduced to the "homeless" the "welfare" the "unemployment" the
"bankrupt" etc.
This big bailout went to sponsor government jobs. And everyone knows especially the industrial military and government contractors, when the government cuts off funds, everyone is laid off.
So these businesses are not self-sustainable. But they are all dependent on government funding.
When the Treasury department runs out of ink in their printing presses, like we do sometimes when we run out of ink in our inkjet printers, all you will get is some fuzzy lines on a blank sheet of paper.
When the nations start to foreclose on America then you will have yourselves to thank. Because you voted in the ONE who put on his cabinet a lot of people with a little experience in the real world and living a real life.

Jesus Christ the Greatest Man Who Ever Lived
Today's culture is doing their best to eliminate any references to Jesus Christ in our society. Taking down scriptures and erasing history is part of the agenda to eradicate the work and ministry of Jesus Christ and attribute the accomplishments of a Christian society to secular and governmental officials.
This is very ignorant. The Christian Church began the schools, hospitals and most all humanitarian effort for which the United States is highly regarded.
This past month, walking down the halls of the Methodist Hospital in Arcadia, they have prominently posted the history of the early beginnings of the training of nurses and guess what?
It was of course, the Methodist church who sponsored the program. In those days, the Methodist church was not only very conservative, but some were praising and shouting Methodists who would make the Pentecostals and Charismatics embarrassed today!
The history of our great nation was not one of political favor, military might, or human genius, it was simply a history of men and women who sought to worship the divine creator, providence, God and Jesus Christ freely and without reservation.
The basis of all of our rights come from not the Magna Carta, or the Koran or the Torah... the rights of our nation, comes from the pages of the Bible. Each and every President until the 20Th century quoted magnificent words from the pages of the King James Version.
All 50 states have in their constitution or state's charters references that were formed from passages or scriptures contained in the Bible.
The Bible was required and perhaps the only book available in some schools during the early formation of our nation and so leaders with wisdom and knowledge were raised and helped guide this nation through its formative years.
Today, homeschooling across the USA is on the increase. The majority of home schoolers, from Bible Believing homes, score brilliantly on tests and contests. The secret of course if from the pages of the old Testament where is says, "Fear of God is the beginning of wisdom."
Why is Christianity such a vital part of American History and Culture? Because true Christianity is based on not only a belief but a life style of serving, helping, caring, forgiving, teaching, training and encouraging.
Why is it at the end of World War II, the United States help to rebuild Japan and Germany? Do you think this would have happened if an Atheistic nation were the conquerors? With all the talk about the rights of prisoners of war, why is it that during the major wars, the enemy troops would rather surrender to Americans or British rather than other allies?
Think about it!
Jesus Christ is the reason for Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter. He is also the indirect reason for Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Valentines Day and Martin Luther King's day.
Who would have thought of honoring mothers and fathers? Not in any other culture do we do this? Now the world is following us in these tradition, many not for the same reason, some for commercial purposes, but yet, the influence is there.
To walk in a Muslim nation and hear carols played in shopping centers that means something to us as much as it does to hear our national anthem being played on foreign soils.
What about our own inner conflict and battle ... the civil war. And regardless of how they try to rewrite history, the war began because there was an inherent opposition to slavery in the Christian realm. Slavery was started by the people in Africa. Slaves were sent to the middle east way before the United States was formed. It was in the United States that Slavery became a real hot topic issue and it was in the United States that freedom and equal rights truly became an outcry that freed a nation - not into bondage but into opportunity.
Yes it has take more than 100 years true equality to become a reality. But remember, it took the founding fathers more than 100 years as well, to become fully civilized and progressive.
After 150 years of founding, that's when the genius of America began to show forth during the 1900's when innovation and invention became the order of the day.
With all of the faults of this great nation, there is no other nation that can proclaim itself a Christian nation from its roots!
Yes, America is beautiful because of her relationship with Jesus Christ, the Lord or Lords and Jehovah God the Creator and almighty who's grace was shed upon the weary pilgrims who travelled the long path for a new life.

America is a Christian Nation
From Friday evening at 5 p.m. until Sunday evening at 9 p.m. what are the majority of American's doing?
They are at Synogagoes, Churches, Temples, and Parishes. And if they are not, the television is turned on to at least one Religious program from Joel Osteen to Hour of Power.
America is a Christian nation. And because of America's Christian roots, this nation has a justice system that is overall fair and equitable; a humanitarian system that cares for the poor in this nation and around the world; a military system that liberates rather than conquers; and government that is accountable to the people and to a divine providence that each and every leader has spoken about since George Washington.
Because America is a Christian nation, we see abundance and prosperity in the midst of economic crisis. We open our faucets in the kitchen and clean water pours out! We turn on the TV and even without cable or satellite, we have a hundred stations to choose from. We go to the grocery store and it is always filled to capacity with sales and fresh produce galore.
When we visit a non-Christian nation we see vendors and people selling their produce in the open market. We see ladies carrying large jugs of water from the well to their homes. We see candles and kerosene lamps lighting dimly and sparsely at night homes that have one or two rooms and a basketful of children. We see justice systems that can be bought for $5 dollars US.
We see injustice and discrimination to women and people of a darker color. We see people wearing old clothing and hand me downs. We see disease and filth and hospitals that have little medicine and minimum facilities for patients who cannot afford their treatment anyways.
There is a huge difference in a Christian nation and a non-Christian nation.
Please don't call America secular or a "nation of ideas" only. We have ideas because all good things and breakthroughs come from God. We are a nation that still, thankfully, has printed on our dollar bills, "In God we Trust."
The Ten Commandments which are disdained by some, are the foundation of a civilization that is peaceful prosperous and healthy. Those who would like to eliminate the ten commandments from our society feel that way only because their deeds are evil.
Love God with all your heart. vs Love me first.
Don't worship idols vs Love the things that I can acquire.
Don't take the name of the Lord in Vain vs Nothing is sacred, I curse I swear
Honor your mother and Father vs Honor parents if they please me
Keep one day for God vs Sunday is for me to enjoy forget God
Thou shalt not kill vs I kill because I hate
Thou shalt not steal vs I steal because I can
Thou shalt not lie vs I lie because everyone does it
Thou shalt not commit adultery vs Adultery? What's that
Thou shalt not covet vs I want what I don't have
Living in the first community, you will have peace and safety. Living in the second community you will have chaos and anarchy.
Leaving God out of the picture is a recipe for disaster! Just look at the non-Christian nations.
If you decide to live in a non-Christian nation you need to be rich so that you can live in a big guarded house with a high fence and body guards and enough money to defend yourself.
You also need a escape route in case things get too dangerous.
You just don't appreciate living in America, a Christian nation, until you live in a non-Christian nation.

Do The Right Thing
I saw something that really touched my heart. President Obama's team responded to a classroom of children who had produced a video from the Village School in Pomona. I'm not exactly sure what the video was about, but I believe it was about the needs of the people in the area and when President Obama visited Pomona last week, he made it a point to invite that classroom of underprivileged kids to attend his meeting and gave them VIP treatment.
Afterwards these children met with the President for 15 minutes. That meeting transformed their lives and perhaps their future. We have to give our President "kudos" for taking the time to touch the lives of these kids. Also, thanks to their teacher who inspire them to make that video and send it to the President.
Because of this extraordinary visit, these children will never be the same again. They have hope and they are thrilled. Instead of gangs and drugs, they are looking for opportunities to help and encourage one another and families in the community.
Thank you President Obama, you surely did the right thing!

Huck Town
On St. Patrick's Day, we had the opportunity to visit Nixon's Library and hear Governor Mike Huckabee speak as he was introducing his new book, "Do the Right Thing."
It was refreshing to hear someone who thinks and speaks for the silent majority who remember what it was to live in a place similar to "Huck's Town," where the neighbors knew each other's names and the names of the kids in the neighborhood; where you could ride your bicycle to school without fear of being mugged or abducted; where parents took on the responsibility of their children.
I remember if someone would complain to my folks about us kids, we would not only hear about it and get a scoulding, but sometimes a spanking as well.
I remember we never locked our car doors or our front door. And we loved to welcome newcomers into the neighborhood.
The message at the foot of the Statue of Liberty I believe is, "Give me your tired, your poor,Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
Often I do think of those who are escaping to America with these same dreams that our forefathers had from the 1600's to the early 1920's. How many of our citizens today were children holding hands of their parents who sold everything to get a ticket to board an old freighter to make that journey to America. And upon landing at Ellis Island were greated by that great and beautiful lady, our Statue of Liberty with a Torch in hand held high to greet them with an open arms and heart of welcome.
These people laid a good foundation and helped build the American brand of "hard work and hard play."
As I listened to the Governor speak, I remembered those wonderful times in our history. Can this be achieved again? Yes, Only when the principles of "doing the right thing" are reinitiated back into the life of our society.
I'd recommend picking up a copy of the Governor's latest book.

The Right Stimulus
I think that all Americans were very hopeful that President Obama would bring to the White House a fresh look at how business in done in Washington. However, after we are nearing the first 100 days of his administration, we the people, the ordinary, working middle class people, cannot feel any change except that we are beginning to see the middle class working people host more anti-tax rallies, anti- lay off rallies and we have seen the cost of living rise, from McDonalds to the price we pay to go into Disneyland.
People are now using their limited resources to pay the rent, utility bills, and eat.
That's why the economy is still in the dumps.
Now we see that the so-called "smart" guys are beginning to voice their doubts about President Obama's administration's ability to lead America and renew trust and prosperity to the people. Instead, we the people, the ordinary people, are not hearing words of hope but words of blame, "blaming the Bush administration, blaming world leaders for not taking care of their financial business, blaming the Iragis, blaming the Rush Limbaughs."
Another $800 billion stimulus package that saves big mega corporations who's failed policies led to this gigantic collapse of our economy and yet leaves the little guy on main street with evictions, loss of jobs, huge 30% interest rates charged by credit card companies that in the past days would put these people jail for usury, and slapping the little guy who can hardly make ends meet with increased car taxes, property taxes, utility taxes, phone taxes, sales taxes, income taxes.
As a middle class America who earns way below $50,000 we are hurting. We are hurting and we see those around us hurting.
Not living in Beverly Hills but in the suburbs where real people live, we can see the increased crime rate, the frustrations and pain of the people on main street.
The "RIGHT STIMULUS" includes releasing the people on main street from the huge burden of tax, spending and fee hikes. Give the people $25,000 per family and you will see the economy rise. Give the money to the Big corporations, and they will continue to pay the salaries of their big nonproductive staff, luxury vacations etc.
And, everyone believes that "rich people" don't pay taxes. They know how to shelter their money. The ultimate burden of paying back the mess that these "stimuli packages" have brought to Americans is the American tax payer.
And don't blame our friends across the seas. Because they believed in America's hope they invested their money in our nation. If we don't keep their friendship, and they move their loyalties to another major nation such as Russia or China, then
ultimately Americans will suffer again.
