I, like millions of other conservatives, have been sitting on the sidelines, watching and wondering who is the best candidate for Election 2008. Barack Obama, with his charm and wonderful family brings hope to the best of Americans. John McCain, has a proven track record of leadership and commitment in his service to the nation.
Watching through the Democratic Convention, I saw a kinder and gentler convention. It almost made we think we were at at Republican Convention except for their platforms which any true moral convervative cannot support. The selection of Joe Biden sealed Obama's fate on my part because I would not vote for him no matter how personable he is in private - because his views on moral and character issues are miles apart from most values based voters.
Watching the spectacle on Thursday night at the Democratic convention, the elaborate stage and the millions of dollars spent at first I thought, well this year the democrats really are supporting their candidate, until I saw the plethora of music, rock and roll groups gathered to perform. Then I thought, what a marvelous idea a free concert of our nation's great rock and roll, country and pop stars. That's how they drew the rest of the crowd.
So what's next? How in the world could the republicans top that show.
The McCain Team cordially congratulated the Obama Team for a great speech and a successful conclusion to their convention.
Then on Friday morning, August 29, 2008 on the birthday of Senator John McCain and the Anniversary of Gov. Sarah Palin, they dropped the bombshell.
As a values conversative, I sat and listed and watched to hear Sarah's acceptance speech. She was more than fabulous! She was "brilliant" as most pundits had to admit until the media got hold of them and had them temper their comments.
Sen. John McCain finally stole the show from the Obama campaign. And now I believe Senator McCain will be the next President of the United States.
Bloggers and pundits say Sen. McCain is desperate! I would say that Sen. McCain is very wise. I would suggest that Obama was "stupid" in choosing his running mate. He showed us how easily he would compromise his personal beliefs in order to win. "Change you can believe in." He pour cold water on his otherwise hot campaign.
So if you are a values based voter, you can now feel very proud and confident to place your vote with John McCain and Sarah Palin. They will restore integrity to the office and our reputation amongst the nations. National leaders who know John's story of his imprisionment in Vietnam, respect him -- for he is, as Sarah Palin said in her acceptance speech, "A living Profile in Courage."
